A thanks to My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy for this Gag of the Day. It is a rather long video, but watch it all and then you be the judge. Then translate what you see here to all the negative stories coming out in today's war between Israel and Hizb'Allah. If you don't come away as infuriated as I am right now ... never mind, any thinking person will be enraged over this.

From this material, our news agencies prepare news reports that shape our perceptions of what is happening in the Middle East Conflict.

We think that a close analysis of this material defies all expectations of what such footage should resemble, and suggest that Palestinian photographers do not at all share the same production and journalistic values espoused by a free press. We leave the experience and the judgment to you…

CNN Promotion of Islamic Relief Worldwide Group Linked to Jihadist Organizations

In CNN's coverage of the current battles between Israel and the terrorist group Hezbollah, CNN has provided a list of "aid groups" to assist civilians in the "Mideast crisis".  One of these groups is the Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) group - which has been reported to have disturbing links to Jihadism and recently documented fund-raising links to US State Department-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) Hamas.

Jeffrey Imm asks, "If Islamic Relief is actively supporting FTO groups, why is CNN promoting them?"

When hasn't CNN supported the terrorists, the socialists, the Fascists, and when did they meet a dictator they didn't want to cuddle up with? It is called access ... the drive to be first with a story no matter who you have to kowtow to. Can you say Peter Arnett? Nic Robertson? Jordan Eason?

Many questions surrounding Qana

Qana: A Hezbollywood Production? distills the discrepancies surrounding the Qana death and destruction media reports into some easy to understand questions.

• Why were dozens of women and children packed into a building that terrorists had been using to store weapons?
• Why was the roof intact?
• Why did the civilians supposedly sheltering in the basement not leave between the attack at 12:00–1:00 AM and the collapse at 8:00 AM?
• Why were the dead civilians found in the building not residents of the building?
• Why did civilians not heed ample Israeli warnings to leave the area?
• Why did Lebanese rescue teams not start evacuating the building until the morning?
• Why was there hardly any blood?
• Why did the bodies appear to have been dead for days?
• Could bodies from the temporary morgue at nearby Tyre have been brought in as props?

If the last one should prove to be true, then we will know in no uncertain terms that the terrorists are sick beyond comprehension. A Newsbusters story on Chris Matthews of Hardball fame details the embarrassing (Newsbusters calls it disgraceful) ignorance of a man who at one time was considered the cream of the crop. Matthews is on MSNBC on weeknights and has his own Sunday show as well. One has to wonder how he could be so uninformed ... ignorant ... about stories he has been reporting about for years.

One of the finest examples of this occurred on “The Chris Matthews Show” Sunday when the host concluded the program by actually blaming this flare up on – drum roll please – George W. Bush and the war in Iraq.

Here at The Squiggler, I support all of the posters above in the low opinion of Jimmy Carter and would add that he nearly destroyed our own military. As an active duty family during the Carter years, I can say from personal experience that in our 26 years of being an active duty military family, those four years were the pits, the worst of the worst.

I am speaking with Lebanese Christians in Lebanon and they are all fine. Israel is not bombing them or their towns. Israel is bombing the Shiite radical strong holds. This is what the news is not telling you. Israel bombed the airport, the port and the bridges to Syria because they are used to transport weapons and support to Hezbollah. The Lebanese army doesn't even have an airforce or airplanes. They only have helicopters. The airport was used to bring support to Husballah and that's why Israel bombed the infrastructure.

Iran's Hezbollah is just dying to strike the US:

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran's Hizbollah, which claims links to the Lebanese group of the same name, said on Tuesday it stood ready to attack Israeli and U.S. interests worldwide.

"We have 2,000 volunteers who have registered since last year," said Iranian Hizbollah's spokesman Mojtaba Bigdeli, speaking by telephone from the central seminary city of Qom.

"They have been trained and they can become fully armed. We are ready to dispatch them to every corner of the world to jeopardise Israel and America's interests. We are only waiting for the Supreme Leader's green light to take action. If America wants to ignite World War Three ... we welcome it," he said.

Trapped in Lebanon by choice?

Via The Jawa Report, I came across a story this morning so mind-numbingly unsupported that I was certain it had to be written by the Lord of the Dunce himself.

Unfortunately, the post in question, one accusing most Americans in Lebanon of being Hezbollah supporters, comes from one Debbie Schlussel.
