I am astonished Objectivists are even contemplating voting for Democrats. You should read Rand' essay The Anatomy of Compromise annd apply those principles to Islamism and Bush. Look,if you vote fora democrat you won't punish republican you will be punishing youselves.
It is true the religious right is in ascendancy in the Republcian party but that can't be solved if the liberatarians leave it and decrease their influence. The only way to increase your influence is to actually vote more for the Republicans and make them realise that liberts are a political votebank to be reckoned with.
As for democrats, can you even imagine sitting in their parlour and having a rational discussion leave alone a sane political position on anything that will matter to Objectivists?
