Dear Sara, Debate Reaction: "Governor Schwarzenegger Is The Man You Can Trust" TEAM ARNOLD: “You watched the Governor in the debate this evening, how do you think the Governor did?” ADAM ELLISON: “I did, I got to attend it personally, and I think the Governor coasted through it very smoothly. I don’t think he had any problems showing Californians exactly who Phil Angelides is. You know what, I think that Phil Angelides definitely helped that, and sealed his own fate tonight, is what I really think.” TEAM ARNOLD: “The Governor talked this evening about protecting the California dream. What do you think the Governor is doing to protect the California dream and why is that important to you?” ELLISON: “The California dream is important because every Californian in this state needs to be able to build their family without worry, and the Governor’s doing that; 635,000 new jobs since he’s taken office. He said tonight that he’s reduced our deficit by over $5 billion and you know what, he’s doing exactly what he needs to do with what he was given. He’s done an outstanding job. I’m voting for Arnold Schwarzenegger, that’s for sure. That’s easy.” TEAM ARNOLD: “What would you tell someone who’s still not sure who they are going to vote for after this debate? What would you tell that person to get them to vote for the Governor?” ELLISON: “Well, I think I’ll use the words of Phil Angelides, it comes down to who can you trust? And Governor Schwarzenegger is the man you can trust. He’s not going to raise our taxes, he’s not going to raise tuition rates, he’s going to make sure that every Californian is able to build their family and is able to utilize the same opportunities that he had when he came here many years ago. And you know, it’s very important for every Californian to understand that. That Schwarzenegger has been a Californian for a very long time and he’s built himself a career, a family, and he’s done it very well.
