MESSAGE FROM THE GOVERNOR
Dear Fellow Californians,
Election day is exactly 21 days away, and as we countdown to November 7 it is
now more important than ever to remind our friends and neighbors of the progress we
have made together and the plans we have
for building an even better tomorrow . In less than 3 years, we have turned
our state around and accomplished great things together . . . but there is more
that we need to do.
There are two very important ways you can join me and help keep California
moving in the right direction. #1 - Tell 10
Friends to Volunteer for my campaign to Protect the
California Dream, and #2 - make a
generous contribution to help my campaign get our message out in the days
leading to November 7. Both actions are vital to my re-election.
Your contributions to my campaign today will make all the difference on
election day. Thank you for your friendship and support.
Sincerely, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger |
He's Doing Just a Great Job . . . And We
Should Keep That Momentum Going Forward
TEAM ARNOLD: "What has the Governor done for veterans in the
state?"
JOHN LOWE: "Well in my capacity, the governor has worked
well with us as a veteran's service organization to provide outreach to veterans
in securing federal entitlements of the VA system. So he's working with
expanding the Department of Veterans Affairs at the state level, which is
working very well. He’s bringing in the Veterans Service organizations such as
the VFW into that fold. He's done a really great job of doing that."
TEAM ARNOLD: "And why is it important that we re-elect the
governor in November?"
JOHN: "In the last three to five years the turnaround in the
Department of Veterans Affairs, and the activities in the war that's going on in
Iraq, and all the support for the military folks - he's doing just a great job
at that and we should keep that momentum going forward. California's moving
forward and we don't need to go backwards at this time." |
Newspapers Endorse The Governor
For Re-Election:
The Sacramento
Bee: "As governor, Schwarzenegger has built a record of
achievement. He put the troubled workers' compensation system on the
public radar and got recalcitrant Democrats to overhaul that program. He pushed
for a reform of the school finance system, giving local districts more control
over the 'categorical' money that takes one-third of the education budget for
special purposes and programs."
The Fresno
Bee: "Schwarzenegger played a crucial role in overhauling the
state's badly flawed workers' compensation system. That system was
putting California business at a disadvantage and was hurting both employers and
employees.... Schwarzenegger is prepared to meet the challenges of the next four
years and deserves re-election on Nov. 7."
The Los Angeles
Times: "Schwarzenegger correctly senses that a leader with good
instincts and confidence is more effective - and more inspiring - than one with
a good plan and a lot of details. Angelides may be more specific about
many of California's problems. But Schwarzenegger is more likely to solve them.
The Times endorses Arnold Schwarzenegger for governor."
The Modesto
Bee: "Schwarzenegger understands the need to represent the entire
state and has been particularly attentive to the issues of the San Joaquin
Valley. One example is the far-reaching California Partnership for the
San Joaquin Valley, which seeks solutions to valley problems in a thoughtful,
comprehensive way."
The Stockton
Record: "The governor has demonstrated a willingness to engage in pressing
problems. The state does not need the status quo, which is what
Angelides offers. It requires original ideas and creative
thinkers." |
Santorum is a big supporter of drug prohibition.
Do Republicans support drug prohibition because it finances criminals or because it finances terrorists?
Republican Socialism. Price supports for criminals and terrorists.
Do they still teach alcohol prohibition in schools?
The NIDA says addiction has two components. One is a genetic predisposition. The other is an environmental trigger. I believe that trigger is trauma.
PTSD and the Endocannabinoid System
So it is worse than just supporting criminals and terrorists. It is a persecution of the traumatised.
Throw in selective prosecution (racism) and you have a huge issue taylor made for the Ds.
I can't wait for the Ds to wake up on this issue. The Rs will be toast and deserve it.
