"A lot of pandering started going on, and you’d see soldiers and the American flag in every video. It became a sickening display of ultra-patriotism.
The entire country may disagree with me, but I don't understand the necessity for patriotism," [Natalie] Maines resumes, through gritted teeth. "Why do you have to be a patriot? About what? This land is our land? Why? You can like where you live and like your life, but as for loving the whole country… I don't see why people care about patriotism."
I don't know what else to say, so all together now ... GAG! Oh wait I thought of something ... what a sniveling little self-centered stupid bitch!
While Natalie prefers to spew her hate and stupidity on foreign soil, Toby Keith, the performer Natalie most loves to hate, prefers to patriotically kick ass with the troops.

As Toby would say: "I'm your buddy, I'm your friend." (in case there is any doubt, I LOVE TOBY KEITH!)
I'm sure you all remember this:
Tongues were set wagging after the singer appeared to be taking a potshot at fellow country musician Toby Keith during the band's May 21 performance via satellite at the Academy of Country Music Awards. Splashed across the busty babe's sleeveless tee were the letters F.U.T.K.
Definitely a four-letter smackdown was the general consensus among the boot-strapping set in attendance, who booed the Texas trio, and even presenter Vince Gill. After crowning Keith as Entertainer of the Year, Gill fanned the flames when he said, "I think his name was on someone's shirt tonight."
The Chicks' reps remained cryptic about Maines' intentions. "We don't know anything about it," said a spokesperson when reached today.
But according to country radio programmers quoted in Billboard today, Maines' message came through loud and clear.
"With all the patriotism in the air that night, it was a downer and completely unnecessary," WXTU Philadelphia assistant programming director-music director Cadillac Jack told Billboard. "I was disappointed with them yet again."
Or this from fellow Dixie Chick, Martie Maguire:
"I'd rather have a small following of really cool people who get it, who will grow with us as we grow and are fans for life, than people that have us in their five-disc changer with Reba McEntire and Toby Keith," Maguire said. "We don't want those kinds of fans. They limit what you can do."
Well chickie-poops, from the number of concerts being cancelled, it looks like those fans don't want you either.
And Flopping Aces has plenty more to say too: "Amazing. Is she a 32 year old or a 10 year old stuck in a 32 year old body?"
I was just making a comment on the politics that won them those Grammies, but had no idea this song would be such a hit on the internet.
