Yesterday, B4B had an article on the recent anti-war rally held in San Francisco. We learn that for a city that is dominated by the peaceniks, this rally was a paltry gathering of mostly gray-haired aging hippies left over from their glory days of the sixties.
The Anti-Liberation Demonstrations Really Did FizzleBack in 2004, John Kerry won San Francisco by a vote of 296,772 to President Bush's 54,355. That is 83% to 15% (2% went to other candidates). After you get over your surprise that there are more than 54,000 Republicans in San Francisco, what you are left with is the realisation that San Francisco isn't exactly Bush Country. They don't like the guy much there...if there's a place in America where you should be able to gin up a pretty good anti-Bush turnout, San Francisco is the place...but here's what happened Saturday:
One of the biggest protests was in San Francisco, for decades a hub of anti-war sentiment. Police there estimated the crowd gathered outside City Hall at about 6,000 people. Many chanted slogans opposing Bush, and most appeared to hail from a distinctly grayer demographic than that of other protest events.
''There are not enough young people here,'' said Paul Perchonock, 61, a physician. ''They don't see themselves as having a stake.''
The fact that there were even 6000 loony moonbats who support these misguided ideas is sort of scary to contemplate, especially when they brandish signs like this:
Ya think even the most ardent anti-war activist might take exception to the sentiments expressed in these signs? Surely there are a few thinking people left in that movement. Hmmm, thinking moonbats, nah!

Does a liberal with a magic marker count as a weapon of mass stupidity?
